Wednesday, June 3 – Friday, June 5
Settle in and stitch with us during the Iowa Quilt Festival Retreat, held Wednesday, June 3 through Friday, June 5, in the heart of Winterset, Iowa, on the courthouse square at The Livery. This retreat is designed for quilters who want time, space, and community to focus on their projects while enjoying the energy of the festival.
Each day begins with coffee and a breakfast item, and lunch is provided as well, so you can spend more time sewing and less time planning meals. Retreat hosts will be on hand with games, door prizes, and support throughout the retreat—and this year, hosts will stay later into the evening for those who love to sew late into the night.
Throughout the retreat, enjoy drop-in demonstrations from a local quilt shop owner and festival instructors, offering inspiration, tips, and creative sparks without interrupting your workflow.
Retreat registration also includes admission to the Airing of the Quilts on Saturday, June 6, giving you a front-row seat to one of the festival’s most beloved events. In addition, retreat participants receive $10 off any festival classes they choose to register for (does not include lectures).
This year’s retreat is extra special as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Iowa Quilt Museum — a milestone year filled with celebration, community, and quilting inspiration.
Whether you’re working on a long-awaited project, starting something new, or simply soaking up the camaraderie of fellow quilters, the Iowa Quilt Festival Retreat is the perfect place to stitch, connect, and recharge.
Starts at 9 AM, Wednesday, June 3 and ends at 3 PM, Friday, June 5.
