Watched video on Iowa Star Block but do you have photo of a finished quilt? Also should parchment paper be cut to 9×12” to run through printer for paper piecing block pattern.
Also interested to visit June 5th Madison County quilt display. Are quilts shown throughout the town or just inside museum? Will need to find hotel accommodations nearby as driving from Oswego, IL.
We haven’t made a quilt with these blocks yet, Sharon. The parchment should be cut to 8.5×11 to run through your printer.
Quilts are displayed all around the community during the Airing of the Quilts! There are some lodging options here in Winterset and West Des Moines is just a 35 minute drive. https://www.madisoncounty.com/lodging/

Way driving from San Diego to Chicago, the summer of 2019. It wasn’t a planned visit to your town. I saw a billboard for your museum and followed the sign. I lucked into airing of the quilts. What a treat. Everyone in your town was kind and welcoming. I remember having a nice chat with a woman with a great companion of a White Cream Golden retriever. I enjoyed shopping at the quilt shop in town, I had lunch, and was sad to leave. I drove around town, and had half a mind to look for houses for sale, but I knew I had some sad business ahead of me so I reluctantly continued on my way. Today I am listening to a wonderful book set in Iowa by Marilyn Robinson, and piecing some blocks for a quilt. I happen to have on my Iowa quilt Museum tee shirt, so seeing your email post of the video was perfect for me today. Thank you!
