Quilts, Wine & What Ifs
Friday, June 4
5:00-7:00pm
Tony Jacobson, nationally known quilt designer and Creative Director for Piece Works Quilt Shop in Winterset, will be presenting his program Quilting: the Art of What If. In this hour-long presentation he will present around 40 quilts showing you how different the same pattern can look by changing the colors, style of fabrics, and even switching up the values of the fabrics used in the background and the main prints.
Piece Works Quilt Shop will be supplying gift bags for all those who pre-register for the program. There will also be door prizes given throughout the night. Covered Bridges Winery will supply a glass of wine (or beverage of your choice) and an individual charcuterie plate for all who pre-register as well.
Dinner and Live Quilt Auction

Support the mission of the Iowa Quilt Museum!
This fundraiser serves as a main source of income for the Iowa Quilt Museum. Even if you’re not able to attend the Airing of the Quilts or the dinner and live auction, we hope you’ll take a look at the online auction catalog and bid on an item or two!
Going…going…Gone!
Silent Auction
We invited friends of the museum to make their own interpretation of the Iowa Star Block. The response was amazing and we have over 20 of these beautiful blocks. Some are finished and ready to use as wall hanging, some are just the block and are ready to be the centerpiece of your next quilting project!
Live Auction
Fourteen quilts from this year’s auction catalog have been selected as the docket for this year’s live quilt auction. The live auction will take place during our fundraising dinner on the evening on Saturday, June 5th, but if you’re not able to attend in-person, you can place a proxy bid online that will be monitored during the live auction.
Online Auction
Twenty additional items are being offered for auction online only. These include completed quilts, quilt tops ready for completion, and project kits. No matter what your skill level or quilting style, you’re sure to find something that calls to you, and best of all, all auction purchases support the mission of the Iowa Quilt Museum!
