If you haven’t had a chance yet to see these quilts in person, we hope you’ll be able to make a trip to Winterset this weekend for a visit. If not, check out our “Current Exhibit’ page to view the online content that we’ve been creating to accompany this exhibit.

Out of Control: Quilts that Break the ‘Rules’

July 7 through October 4
Curated by Barbara Brackman & Deb Rowden

Wild quilts from the collections of Barbara Brackman & Deb Rowden, two Kansas collectors with a special affinity for the “odd,” will populate this exhibit. The patterns, color choices, designs, and even the workmanship will have us wondering, “What was she thinking?”

Here’s a small preview of some of the ‘rule breaking’ quilts that will be featured.
